The Gebo deckhatch and Flushline hatch are suitable as ventilation hatches. In the event of an accident or fire, the bigger sizes can be used as an escape hatch. All deckhatches have been designed for use on power and sailing yachts and can be used in toughest conditions.
Gebo Deckhatches and Flushline Hatches should be installed in ship part II (deck and rear)
The Flushline Hatches are especially designed for use on powerboats.
The cut out hole in the boat determines the dimensions of the hatches. Example: DHL 500*500 means: the hole in the boat has as dimension 500mm by 500mm
The Gebo deckhatch is Lloyds approved. They have the highest designcategory A “ocean”. This means the deckhatches can be used for oceangoing vessels, designed for long trips on the ocean with windspeeds of more than 8 Beaufort and waves over 4 meters.
When sailing on open waters all hatches should be closed and secured.
There are no limitations to the tickness of the hull aslong as the required screws are used.
The dimensions of the hatches are really standardized. GEBO has all required sizes and is marketleader in the hatch business.
The durability of anodised or powder coated aluminium has been proven over many years. Although aluminium is relatively maintenance free it is necessary to regularly clean the hatches. It is a recommendable to wash the hatches every now and then with lukewarm water. The addition of little soap solution will help to ease procedure. After that clean with water.

We have the same color as available in our portlights. The acrylic of portlights and hatches is almost always the same. The color depends on the geografical areas were you sell the product. US is mainly white acrylic while europe is standardized almost on smoke – grey

DHL ZF - STANDARD hatch without flange |
| 2. |
DHL MF - STANDARD hatch with flange |
| 3. |
FHL - FLUSH (flat with the deck) |
| 4. |
FHLH ROUND - FLUSH round hatch (flat with the deck) |
| 5. |
FHLH DELTA - FLUSH delta hatch (flat with the deck) |
Without flange means that the hatch is flat on the deck and is easy to install. With flange means that the frame of the hatch has been extended to fit flush against the base mounting, it gives a smoother appearance on the inside and extra safety.
For the Gebo Hatches the acrylic is in 8, 10 and 15 mm available. Starting from 10 mm the hatches have CE APPROVAL.
GEBO hatches are available in radius 30, 42, 55, 95 which are the standard in the marine industry.
GEBO delivers their hatches in two different surface treatments:
| 1. |
Anodized in standard alu color and four different colors, gold, black white and silver |
| 2. |
Coating in every RAL color (common in Europe) |
GEBO is working on a stainless steel cover for a limit number of hatches (of which we will be the only one in the world) available from January 2006 on.
Gebo Portlights are available in fixed and opening versions The fixed portlight is especially suitable for fitting in the hull. All Gebo Portlights are designed for use on power and sailing yachts and can be used in toughest conditions.
Gebo Portlights are especially suitable for fitting in the hull.
The Gebo Portlights type I opening and fixed and fixed portlight type II and III are suitable for fixing in all areas (I, II, III, IV) on the yacht (hull, transom, superstructure and cockpit).
The Gebo opening portlight type II and III are suitable for fixing in areas III and IV (superstructure and cockpit) on the yacht and can be used on ship type with design category A (ocean-worthy). All types of Portlights meet the ISO 12216 requirements.
The Gebo products are approved vor the categary A OCEAN. These products are desinged for long passages where wind force reach over 8 Beaufort and waves over 4 meter.
The cut out hole in the boat determines the dimensions of a portlight. Example: VPK- 375 x 175 means: the hole in the boat has as dimension 375x175mm
Gebo can manufacture all marine industry standard portlights like sizes: 375x175mm, 600x175mm. We can manufacture almost every required dimension though we are looking for a minimum order of 40 pcs.
The portlight (Fixed type I) can be supplied with a deadlight. This deadlight will create a watertight seal if the acrylic is damaged. The deadlight and fixed portlights are Lloyds approved.
When sailing on open waters or being on tour with a power boat, all portlights should be closed and secured.
The main colors are smoke - green, blanc, bronz. Other colors can be ordered staring with a minimum required quantity of 40 pcs.

| 2. |
A rainshield which must be installed with a flyscreen. Therainshield keeps the rain outside while the portlight is still open. |

A rollo, this is combined of a flyscreen and curtain. If you pull it to one side it is a flyscreen if you pull it to the other side it is curtain. |

More and more boat owners are having to replace the glazing on their boats with aluminium windows. Aluminium has a number of advantages over more costly materials such as stainless steel or brass. Most importantly, it allows greater flexibility in design and requires less maintenance.
For these reasons it is the most popular metal for manufacturing marine window frames.
Although bare untreated aluminium has a relatively good corrosion resistance, it is not recommended for a marine environment. To improve their corrosion resistance, aluminium windows are either anodised or powder-coated.
Anodising is the most common way of improving the corrosion resistance of aluminium. During this process the natural layer of oxide is thickened and compressed to 15-20 micron by electrolytic action. This gives a very hard corrosion-resistant layer which is fully transparant and allows the natural aluminium colour to show through.
For powder coating an electrostatic layer of 60-80 micron of polyurethane paint is applied to the aluminium. The necessity of cleaning is considerably less than for anodised aluminium. An extra advantage is that a repair to the powder coating can be carried out without removing the window.
Gebo ships' windows are anodised or powder-coated after all machining, thereby preventing corrosion to tapped holes or sawn surfaces.
The operational life of powder-coated or anodised aluminium is increased by regular and correct cleaning.
